Its simple. We are the local Upper Darby, Pennsylvania chapter of the Indivisible movement.
MISSION STATEMENT OF INDIVISIBLE – UPPER DARBY:
We, the members of Indivisible – Upper Darby, believe that ALL people should have the opportunity to live in peace, health and prosperity. We hold that it is the responsibility of our government, at every level, to create that opportunity through legislation that promotes and demonstrates respect for every person, regardless of age, race or ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, education, employment level, faith or party affiliation.
We expect and demand that our government representatives put people before profits, self-interest, ideology or special interests and that our representatives do everything within their power to ensure that every voice in this country is heard and counted.
A highly motivated, non-partisan group of concerned citizens from all walks of life, we have come together to realize this vision in three ways: by educating ourselves on the issues that impact our community; by participating in actions that build connections with our neighbors and help solve community problems; and by advocating for local, state, and federal policies that are inclusive, equitable, just and compassionate.
